Just caught the premiere of Triple Rush thanks to your blog. It was fantastic! I didn't know bike messengers had it that tough. Very fun to watch and will definitely watch every Thursday night. What did everyone else think of the show? Will it be on any other time than 10pm?

Yeah, having the city in the title would be cool. I bet this show will be a huge hit. As soon as that happens, there will be "Triple Rush: London", "Triple Rush: Tokyo" ... Maybe even "Triple Rush: Libya" where the messengers have to transport rocket launchers. That would be sweet.

I think the best of all worlds is reinforcing your direct marketing efforts with a personal phone call. Obviously, this isn't possible for all prospects, especially in large campaigns. But for targeted customers, the personal touch of a phone call is always extremely powerful.

While I generally agree with Erma's regrets about not spending more time on life's truly important issues, I do have one observation. Many people who focus on "fun" at the expense of "being practical" don't have the luxury of comfortably reflecting on the how they wish they spent their lives. They're still forced to react to things day in and day out precisely due to their lack of planning. A nice balance fun and practicality is what we should all strive for.

I was struck by how differently "clear communication" was valued in The King's Speech than in The Social Network. Tremendous effort was exerted to maximize the clarity of the King's speech, while considerable effort was made to mislead (not communicate with) one of Facebook's founders. It's all the more ironic that Facebook's wild popularity stems from the fact that it's such an effective communications tool.
