Consistency acrostic
My child brought home from school an acrostic, where the letters of a word has a phrase are used to stand for something that applies to that word. I got to thinking about how consistency is one of the keys to good marketing, and came up with an acrostic for CONSISTENCY.
Clear language – chose words that are easy to read and understand
One time marketing pieces rarely work – use multiple avenues to find what works best
No repeats – You can’t send out the same message repeatedly and expect different results
Schedule release dates – plan your programs over time to give people time to respond
Inform the reader – educate them about the product or service so they can make the right choice
Set reasonable goals – define benchmarks for success and adapt when needed
Take the time to do it right – Rushing haphazardly leads to failure so plan for opportunities
Evaluate success – What is working well? What should be changed next time?
Neat and organized – messy may work for punk rock posters, but rarely for businesses
Call to action – let the reader know what action you want them to take
Your company succeeds when you focus on the customer and not wholly on your product
