An easy way to find a celebrity product endorser
The August issue of Fortune Magazine had a one page article about a company that is making endorsements easier to land for marketing professionals. The company, Brand Affinity Technologies (BAT), is streamlining the process of partnering companies with celebrities.
To help you decide on the on the right endorser to use for your product, BAT uses a demographic database to conduct a narrow search within your defined target market. Once you decide on the right individual to use in your campaign, an offer is extended to the talent through the BAT website. According to the Fortune article, offer terms start at $30,000 for a 30 day web advertisement featuring your endorsement star.
BAT eliminates the need to travel to a celebrity’s location to get the right pictures at a photo shoot because the company has all of the professional stock footage you need to match the right endorser to your online campaign.
If an agreement is reached, your company can use any of the pre-shot photographs of your contracted celebrity. Each image is shot in front of a green screen, so your graphic design team can integrate the chosen image into your online ad campaign.
With the service BAT provides, you no longer need to “know someone who knows someone” to get a celebrity endorsement for your product or service.
The Fortune article states that most of the celebrities within the BAT database are second tier professional athletes. However, if the right person is available for your campaign and your business can afford the cost of the endorsement, it can be a huge benefit to your marketing program to get a known individual to help promote your product. Who is the right endorsement match for your next online marketing program?
