Three tips for imporving your company's website

If you have a current website but are not seeing the results you had hoped for, maybe you need to update your site to make it more effective. Three steps in the process of improving your website include:

1. Updating the look and feel of a site – A site that lacks visual interest will not hold a visitor and encourage them to look around your site. Images on your site are important as they can convey a message without the use of words.

2. Converting the wording on your to better sell your product or service – Many websites are hurriedly thrown together by businesses for a big meeting. You want to show a company that you have a site so you filled out a quick form on-line, typed up some hastily worded sections, and posted it on-line. You think you have a website that customers will love. What you really have is a misspelled jumble of words that are not effectively selling your product. Use a copywriter and/or  editor to take your wording and improve it  - or create entirely new wording for your site to effectively promote your business.

3. Clearly defining your Call To Action – With a clear pathway throughout your site you can more effectively lead customers to the action you’d like them to take. That action could be signing up for your email newsletter, joining your e-mail list for product updates, contacting your sales team for more product information, setting up a meeting, or donating to your non-for-profit cause.
